corn continuing:

Before I continue, I made a slight change to the 1st post of the story.
Continuing on:

"Where is my juice?!" Corn screamed for the seventh time. Corn had inherited her ability to yell from her father, the king.
"I have been waiting for three minutes now!"
"I'mmm,I'm sorry your highness" Charles stuttered as he came running, frantically trying not to spill the grape juice in the diamond studded goblet.Of course, Corn did not know his name was Charles. He was simply "servant" or "you there". That's how it was with the royal family. The Donnalingtons. They cared for no one but themselves and what benefited them.

The moment you have all been waiting for...

I have had the beginning of my story ready to post for quite some time, but I kept leaving it in my apron at work. It is still there, but I have decided I have to just do my best to remember and get this story posted!

Refining Corn

I, Cornamelia, am a princess. That's right, a princess. Princesses are supposed to have these wonderful lives. They get to sleep in feather soft beds, wear beautiful clothes, have people dote on them, and do whatever they want. This was my life until one day I woke up to find I had to save the kingdom. Alone. That isn't even the worst part! The thing was, I was only 5 years old. Sound scary to you? I wasn't scared, I was simply annoyed.
I don't think I am starting my story right. I don't like talking about myself (anymore that is) so let's start over. We are going to pretend that this is a story of a different princess, in a different land. We will call her Corn.

Book addictions

Now, some of you may scoff at this, but I have discovered that books can be a REAL addiction. I realized this last week as I analyzed my feelings closely in consequence of a lasting bad attitude. I only got to read my book at lunch for a few minutes and that wasn't enough. The lack of reading made me touchy and anxious, and I was having MAJOR withdrawls. I am not saying it is bad for everyone, but for me, I have decided I have to take a break from reading (as soon as I am done with my two series of course :)) and monitor when I am allowed to pick up a book. Otherwise, watch out world, there is a monster brewing!

Poem format

Apology, the last blog looks like a poem or something. I wish I could say it was intentional, but it is just a result of my computer illiteracy. I couldn't get it to format how I wanted and got sick of it. So it is staying in its retartedness.

The Bestest Parents

This blog is a tribute to my parents. This is Ryan and I's bed. Notice the quilt.
See, my parents decided to design and make a quilt for each child when they
moved out or got married. Each quilt is well thought out, and is worked on for
hours and hours and hours and hours, days and days and days, months and
months, because they are so intricate that it is incredibly time consuming.
I have taken mine for granted and wish to no longer do so.

Here is a close up of one of the squares. Notice the pattern weaves.

Now look closely at this one. See the tiny tiny triangles of the light green
material with pink roses? You almost can't see them in the picture cause
it blends with the purple flowers. Those pieces are less than an inch wide!
I can't imagine sewing that. That is pure talent right there.

P.S. Ryan said to tell you all that he made the bed. He is the organized one, it makes me smile :)

The Wii

Ignoring the mess(this is the spoils from Mom and Leslie this weekend), notice all the floor space. The picture doesn't do it justice. We have a big open space all as a result of the Wii. We used to have only a 1/3 of that space. Ryan and I spent a whole day figuring out how to rearrange our living room so we could have a bowling alley and tennis court. Ryan is a pro-boxer now, and I am getting better at tennis which is my favorite!

Your Hosts

Here is Ryan. He definitely fits in the family
nicely with that book, don't you think?

Here is me. A beautiful picture, I know.

Sunday, January 13, 2008

Don't worry, I haven't forgotten that I started a blog, it just has been a busier weekend than I thought. We have a camera now, so you will soon see pictures. Also, I am going to write a story and I will post it in pieces as I write, with very bad illustrations. Hang in there with me!

Us, the happy couple!

Well, I found a camera of sorts. Here is Ryan and I. We make a lovely couple don't we?

New Blog

Well, I have finally done it. I made a blog. Ok, it was easier, way easier than I thought. Mom has been bugging me for awhile to start one despite the fact that I have NO KIDS to display, nor a CAMERA. Dad is going to lend me a camera but until then, you will simply have to be bored by my writings.
