Ellie thinks she is a big girl now. She wants to stand, not sit. She has been very interested in what we are eating and drinking, so we let her try. She drinks water out of sippy cups, and likes it. We gave her rice cereal and we were so excited to see her reaction. The result? Nothing. She ate it like she had been doing it for years. No excitement. No funny faces. Just resignation that we were putting yet another thing in her mouth.
This is not the only thing she thinks big girls do. She also thinks they don't take naps! Sorry Ellie, you aren't old enough yet to skip those. I must keep my sanity! She has to be forced now. Why are kids so silly? We as adults would LOVE to nap. But kids? They cry like you just told them you don't love them anymore. You would think I was torturing her the way she acts. But the honest truth...her face when I make her go to bed is so darn cute!
